Award Certificate in First-Line Management |

This seven day programme, accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management has been developed with a clear focus on developing the skills, knowledge, attitudes and judgements of first line managers. Rather than focusing on theory, the programme focuses on making people excellent managers and leaders. |

Entry requirements |
| |
|
No formal entry requirements, but participants should be practising or potential first line managers with two years full-time (or three years part-time) work experience, and a background which will enable them to benefit from the programme. |

NVQ (National Vocational Qualifications) |

NVQs are work-related, competence-based qualifications. They reflect the skills and knowledge needed to do a job effectively and show that a candidate is competent in specific area of work |

NVQs are available at five levels: from Level 1 for routine jobs to Level 5 for jobs with complex tasks and substantial responsibility. |

This course is designed to provide a foundation level of knowledge in IT Service Management. It is aimed at all personnel who wish to become familiar with the best practices for IT Service Management, as defined in the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL ) guidelines. In particular, it enables people to understand the terminology used within the ITIL approach. |

Examination |

The course completes with a one-hour “closed book” exam comprising of 40 multiple-choice questions. The pass mark required is 65%.
The examination is held at the end of the third-day of the course, under the control of an ISEB (Information Systems Examination Board) invigilator. |

The program includes lecture, tutorials, assignments, and mock examinations. The program is delivered by two accredited consultants who draw on their own practical experience to enhance the course syllabus. |

The PRINCE2 Foundation course is an examination-based training leading to an accreditation in PRINCE2 Foundation level. The training equips delegates with a detailed knowledge of the PRINCE2 method, working through each stage of pre-project preparation and the project lifecycle.
PRINCE2 is the leading project management methodology being used extensively worldwide. Most organisations using PRINCE2 are now demanding that their project staff hold the PRINCE2 Foundation qualification.
The Foundation examination is a one-hour multiple-choice paper. All successful delegates will receive the PRINCE2 Foundation certificate from the APMG. |

PRINCE2™ Foundation and Practitioner Course |

This is an examination-based PRINCE2 training course, which gives delegates accreditation at PRINCE2 Practitioner level.
The training course combines PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner training sessions, the Practitioner training sessions will follow on from the successful completion of the Foundation exam, building on a delegate’s knowledge of the structure and content of PRINCE2 and turns this knowledge into an understanding of the practical application of the method. Time will be given to assessing risks within the project, planning techniques, and how to ensure a quality approach runs throughout the project. |

Examination details |

The Foundation Examination is a multiple-choice paper consisting of 75 questions. You will have one hour and you need 38 correct answers to pass.
The Practitioner examination is based around a scenario, with 3 questions addressing how PRINCE2™ can be applied to the scenario. Each of the 3 questions is worth 50 marks and an overall score of 75 out of a possible 150 marks is required to pass. You will have three hours in which to answer the questions, with 10 minutes reading time at the start of the examination to become familiar with the scenario. It is an open-book examination so manual and notes can be used. |
